UCF sees approximate 12 percent increase in enrollment
More students have been able to call themselves Knights over the past year, and numbers will only increase with the start of the fall semester.
There has been an increase in enrollment numbers at UCF since the 2013-14 school year, said UCF spokeswoman Zenaida Kotala.
The official number of applicants and number of students accepted is taken on the first day of classes, Kotala said. However, preliminary data for the 2014-15 school year shows that 24,511 students applied to UCF, and 10,692 were accepted.
An increase is seen from the 2013-14 school year, during which there was an approximate 5.7 percent increase from 23,198 applicants and an approximate 6 percent increase from 10,087 students accepted.
