Jandaia's Brazilian Kitchen & Bar at University Commons is set for its grand opening between the end of July and early August.
Manager Timothy Hanna said there will be a soft opening scheduled for next week.
The Brazilian restaurant is relocating from its location in Winter Park and is replacing The Mad Hatter bar, which closed at the end of July 2014 due to a discrepancy over University Commons' towing policy.
Jandaia's menu consists of a choice of five meats, including rotisserie chicken, grilled chicken breast, pulled pork with sauce and grilled or seared fish, alongside salads and side dishes.
Regular items such as wings, burgers and fries will also be offered.
Lunch specials will start at $4.95 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mondays through Friday.
Happy hour from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. will be introduced two to three weeks after the soft opening, which will include a full liquor bar, six to eight beers on tap and a bottle service featuring authentic Brazilian beverages.
"We plan to have a lot of menu items cooked and ready before you come in," Hanna said.
Hanna also said his restaurant will be trying out different daily specials throughout its soft opening before making them concrete, such as a wine tasting and burger day specials.
Discounts for UCF students are still in the works.
