OCSO releases photos of man who robbed UCF-area Pita Pit
JULY 6 UPDATE: OCSO released surveillance photos Monday of the man suspected of robbing the Pita Pit near UCF on Saturday.
The suspect is described to be a white male, mid-20s, thin build with short brown hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing all-black clothing, a dark bandana covering his face, a black hat and blue latex gloves.
OCSO is asking those with information to contact Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
Orange County Sheriff's Office is on the search for a man in his early 20s who robbed the Pita Pit near UCF at knifepoint on Saturday.
According to an OCSO release, the suspect has been described as a Hispanic male about 5-feet-4 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. The suspect entered the Pita Pit wearing rubber gloves and a bandana to cover his face and was armed with a knife.
He approached two employees who were sitting at a table and asked them if they worked there. He then went behind the counter and started opening things to search for cash. One employee went behind the counter and the suspect asked him for the money. The employee gave the cash to the suspect, and the suspect fled out the back door. A chase is taking place and K-9 units are at the scene, according to the release.
