OCSO responds to assault, shots fired near UCF
The Orange County Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects who allegedly attacked a resident and drew a firearm at his home on Lake Price Drive near UCF.
On Sunday around 3 a.m., deputies responded to a residence, where Richard Miller, 22, was having a party.
When Miller noticed it was getting late, he began asking guests to leave. He walked outside toward the front of his home where one man approached him and punched him in the side of his head with a closed fist, according to the incident report.
Miller's two friends Marcus Peterson, 22, and Branden Hollobaugh, 23, ran over to help him, when a second man fired three rounds in the air. The unknown man then pointed the gun at Peterson and proceeded to fire another shot in the air before fleeing the area in an unspecified vehicle.
It is unclear how the other suspect left the scene.
The suspect who assaulted the resident is described to be a black male, 6 feet, weighing 200 pounds. The gunman is described to be a light-skinned Hispanic, 5-foot-7, weighing 130 pounds.
Miller told deputies that both suspects were at the party, but he doesn't believe they were together, according to the report.
It is unknown whether any of the parties involved are UCF students. Check back for updates.
