UCF loses to UTSA in PINK Campus Showdown
After qualifying in the top 25 schools for Victoria Secret's PINK Nation Campus Showdown, UCF lost to the University of Texas at San Antonio after competing in three social media rounds.
The showdown began on Aug. 31 with round: Instalove. Participants had the chance to "like" their school into the Final Championship round by double tapping on their school's individual logo. UCF accumulated more than 26,000 hearts in this round.
The following rounds: Snapchat Spirit and Twitter Tug O' War involved participants snapping and tweeting their school's campus and logo, along with the #PINKGameOn hashtag.
After the three rounds, the top 4 schools that won each of the three rounds and had the the highest aggregate score went on to compete in the Final Championship Round, CrazyTap Race.
Unfortunately, the Knights were out-tapped and over-tweeted in each of the social media rounds.
VS PINK will host a large campus party at the winning school, UTSA, which will involve various campus activities and a popular music artist headlining a large concert.
The last time UCF won a PINK party was in 2013, when Flo-rida performed at the CFE Arena.
