UCF has been ranked among the likes of Harvard, Stanford and MIT, at least in terms of its innovation.

U.S. News & World Report has listed UCF at No. 13 in its listing for Most Innovative Schools. According to its website, the schools listed "are making the most innovative improvements in terms of curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology or facilities."

Tied for 13th are Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Southern California. UCF is the highest-ranked Florida school on the list, with the University of Florida at No. 18 and Lynn University in Boca Raton at No. 21.

Three of UCF's partner institutions in the University Innovation Alliance also made the list: Arizona State University at No. 1, Georgia State at No. 5 and Purdue at No. 21. The University Innovation Alliance "consists of 11 top metropolitan research universities working together to help more low-income and first-generation students earn college degrees," according to a release.

Additional accolades include UCF being listed among the best colleges for veterans, 50th for online degree programs and 131st for best business programs. UCF also moved ahead four places in the listing for best national institutions, from No. 173 to No. 168, and eight places in the listing of best public universities, from No. 99 to No. 91.
