Kid Quill to perform at Saturday's tailgate concert
Tailgate festivities for Saturday's football game will kick off with a concert by Kid Quill at 3 p.m. on Memory Mall.
Kid Quill, whose real name is Mitch Brown, is an up-and-coming hip-hop artist who has headlined shows on various college campuses and performed alongside popular hip-hop artists, such as Wale and Riff Raff. The 21-year-old is a senior and former all-American soccer player at DePaul University in Chicago.
The Knights are set to play Furman at the Bright House Networks Stadium at 6 p.m., and students and their families are invited to enjoy Brown's performance during UCF's family weekend.
Brown's independent album, Ear to Ear, peaked at No. 34 in the nation on Itunes' hip-hop charts.
In March, Brown performed at the NCAA March Madness Festival along with pop-icon, Rihanna.
