UCF Silent March Against Hazing set for Wednesday
Campus events for National Hazing Prevention Week will continue Wednesday with UCF’s Silent March Against Hazing, which starts at noon on Memory Mall.
Student leaders from Fraternity and Sorority Life will lead the march, and all students are invited to attend. Peppered along the walk will be skits, spoken word poetry and music.
Universities across the country are taking part in National Hazing Prevention Week, which aims to raise awareness and prevent future occurrences of hazing. More than half of college students involved in clubs, teams and organizations experience hazing, according to Hazingprevention.org, the official backer of these events.
The march is scheduled to last an hour and will conclude at the Reflecting Pond.
