In honor of World Heart Day, UCF is slated to hold free CPR classes on Tuesday.

Orange County Fire Rescue instructors will be on campus to offer six basic, hands-only adult CPR classes, according to a release.

Held in room 130 of the Teaching Academy, the classes will start at 1 p.m. and will occur every half hour until 4 p.m.

Although participants won't be able to earn CPR certification, they will learn how to effectively respond in a state of emergency.

The annual World Heart Day aims to promote a heart-healthy planet and encourage people to reduce cardiovascular risk by making healthy heart choices.
