UCF PD issue arrests during Halloween weekend
The UCF Police Department, in conjunction with the SNAP program, cracked down on intoxications during the Halloween weekend.
UCF PD spokeswoman Courtney Gilmartin said two Notices to Appear were issued Friday night at Knight's Pub and the off-campus Greek park area due to underage drinking.
Aside from SNAP, two men were arrested for DUI in the UCF area during the weekend.
Early Saturday morning, a 19-year-old man was arrested after drifting in and out of lanes down University Boulevard. Once stopped, he admitted to the officer he smoked marijuana about two hours before driving.
Early Sunday morning, a 23-year-old man was arrested after submitting breath samples of .109 and .116 and going about 60 mph in a 30-mph zone near Gemini Boulevard and North Orion Boulevard.
It is unknown at this time if the men arrested are UCF students. The Central Florida Future reached out to UCF PD and is awaiting response.
Additionally, Gilmartin said Student Affairs referrals were issued during the weekend: One was issued on campus early Saturday morning to an intoxicated student found passed out on campus and two were issued to others Saturday night who were also intoxicated. Additionally, two people were found intoxicated late Saturday night and had to be transported to the emergency room.
