UCF Police and Orange County Fire Rescue responded Tuesday to a vehicle fire in Garage F.

The vehicle was parked on the second floor in the section reserved for F parking permits. UCF Police spokeswoman Courtney Gilmartin said the fire marshal will be on scene later to determine the source of the fire, which is currently unconfirmed but believed to have started under the hood.

Gilmartin said the vehicle parked next to the car that caught fire had minimal damage. No one was hurt in the incident.

During the emergency response, East and West Plaza Drives were blocked off to incoming traffic, and students were briefly barred from getting to their cars parked in the garage. The garage has since been reopened for students parked there to retrieve their cars, and the garage and surrounding roads will soon be fully reopened.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
