Orlando may be nationally known as the tourism capital of the country, but UCF's Rosen College of Hospitality Management has just earned some global recognition of its own.

The program landed the fifth spot on an international ranking of the best hospitality and hotel managements schools for 2015, according to a list released by business magazine CEOWORLDThe ranking is based on a global survey of 18,000 hospitality recruiters and senior managers of luxury hotels around the world.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as one of the top hospitality programs worldwide,” said Dean Abraham Pizam in a press release. “Our focus on innovation and partnership produces exceptional graduates who will be the hospitality industry’s next generation of leaders. The exciting part is we’re just getting started.”

Ranked among other renowned programs including the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland and the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, the Rosen College, founded in 2004, is the youngest program ranked among the top five.

It currently has an enrollment of approximately 3,500 students and offers six academic degrees, including the only bachelor’s degree in event management in the United States and the only doctoral program specifically in hospitality management in Florida.
