UCF receives record-breaking amount of research funding
UCF has received a record-breaking $145.58 million in research funding this year, a 30 percent increase from 2013 funding levels.
In addition, 32 researchers received more than $1 million or more in funding, according to a press release from UCF News & Information.
Student Development and Enrollment Services received $29 million from Lockheed Martin Corp. to fund student workplace training initiatives.
The College of Engineering and Computer Science was awarded $19.3 million for a variety of projects focused on agricultural robotics and aerial imaging.
The Institute for Simulation & Training received $15.2 million for research in military robotics.
In total, $72.17 million in federal funds, $59.44 million in professional and non-profit funds and $13.97 million in state and local funds were received by the university in 2014.
