It didn't take long for Bortles Kombat to emerge into the NFL.
According to the Jacksonville Jaguars twitter account, head coach Gus Bradley named Blake Bortles as the new starting quarterback going forward. The announcement came after Bortles had a solid performance in his first NFL game.
Bortles took over in the second half for veteran Chad Henne, who had completed just four of seven passes for 33 yards after two quarters.The score was 20-0, in favor of the Indianapolis Colts, heading into the half. Bortles entered in the third quarter and finished the half going 14 of 24, recorded 223 yards and completed two touchdown passes. The rookie also threw two interceptions.
The Jaguars still lost the contest 44-17 though. The team falls to 0-3 on the season.
