As per tradition, the UCF football team voted this week for its team captains. UCF head coach George O'Leary said Monday that he would name three captains if the voting was close, or two captains if it wasn't.
Apparently, it was close.
Seniors Terrance Plummer, Clayton Geathers and Josh Reese were selected by teammates as captains for the remainder of the 2014 season, according to a tweet from the team's account.

Plummer, the team's leading tackler, has proven to be the team's emotional leader on the field. On the year, Plummer has 66 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
The team's second-leading tackler, Geathers, has been a four-year starter at UCF and has an interception and a fumble recovery to his credit on the season.
When UCF has needed big plays over the past two seasons, Reese has been one of the main targets. He's fourth on the team with 15 receptions and has scored two touchdowns.
