After repeating as American Athletic Conference Champions on Thursday, UCF will now head west to face NC State in the Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl.

Slated for an 8 p.m. kickoff on Dec. 26, the Knights (9-3, 7-1) will return to the Tropicana Field, the same site in which they beat Ball State 38-17 in 2012.

The Wolfpack (7-5), started the season 4-0 and after a strong showing in a loss against FSU, proceeded to drop four in a row. NC State is led by quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who transferred from Florida and has 22 touchdown passes and five interceptions.

Former UCF defensive coordinator Dave Huxtable is the Wolfpack's defensive coordinator, for a unit that is ranked 49th nationally in total defense.

Brandon Helwig first reported the matchup.

The only common opponent the teams share, USF, the Wolfpack demolished the Bulls 49-17.
