Former UCF defensive end and current San Francisco 49ers fullback Bruce Miller was arrested Thursday on suspicion of spousal abuse.
Miller was arrested by the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office and the case was then handed over to the district attorney's office, according to Comcast Bay Area. The prosecution will then decide if formal charges will be filed, according to USA Today.
KNBR's Dieter Kurtenback tweeted a picture of Santa Claya county's booking report of Miller.
"We were disappointed to learn of these reports and will do our due diligence in collecting all relevant information," 49ers General Manager Trent Baalke said in a statement to USA TODAY Sports.
Miller was selected in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft after a decorated UCF career — including being named the 2010 Conference USA Player of the Year in 2010.
