For the third-consecutive season, the UCF women's golf team has advanced to an NCAA Regional.
The team found out Monday that it would be heading to Raleigh May 7 to May 9 as the No. 6 seed in an 18-team field. A top-six finish in the Regional ensures a trip to the championship.
The top six seeds in the Regional are South Carolina (No. 2 ranked nationally), LSU, Mississippi State, Northwestern, Florida and UCF.
The Knights are the only American Athletic Conference team in this Regional, which will take place at Lonnie Poole Golf Course — hosted by North Carolina State.
Should UCF advance to the championship, they would compete close to home in Bradenton from May 22 to May 27.
