In the first game of the American Athletic Conference Tournament, No. 7 seeded UCF fell to No. 2 East Carolina on a walk-off loss, 4-3 Wednesday.

In the ninth innings, the game was kept tied prior to the walk-off single by an Erik Barber to James Vasquez relay throw to the plate to get the ECU runner.

First team all-conference selection Zach Rodgers threw pitched a complete game for UCF, and received his first loss of the season, moving to 10-1.

Reliever Joe Ingle got the win for ECU, throwing a perfect top of the ninth, prior to ECU getting the win in the bottom of the frame.The game had been tied 1-1 heading into the seventh inning when UCF was put on top by a two-run Dylan Moore single.

Carolina scored one run each in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings.

The walk-off hit for ECU was registered by Charlie Yorgen. The tournament is double elimination, so UCF will play UCONN in a win-or-go-home matchup Thursday at 11 a.m.
