UCF shortstop Dylan Moore was drafted in the seventh round, 198th overall, by the Texas Rangers in the MLB First-Year Player Draft on Tuesday.
Moore, who transferred from Cypress College after two years, hit .323 with 11 home runs and 76 RBIs in two years at UCF. He played second base during his junior year but moved to shortstop for his senior campaign.
He was named to the All-American Athletic Conference First Team this year after earning Second Team honors in 2014.
Moore had never been drafted and became the first Knight to be selected this year.
