A multi-year, six-figure contract landed Carl Black of Orlando the naming rights to UCF's much-anticipated East Side Club.

UCF Athletics announced Monday a partnership with the auto dealership to introduce the Carl Black & Gold Cabana, according to a release. Carl Black is one of Athletics' largest current corporate partners, said spokesman Andy Seeley.

The 10,000-square-foot beach-themed area will be located between the 30-yard lines, feature chair-back stadium seating and open-air sun deck, and offer refreshments, televisions, private restrooms and other amenities.

"I can't wait for everybody to be able to see this and experience this. I think the UCF Knight family is going to be very, very proud of what's happening up here," Omar Rodriguez, Carl Black general manager, said in the release.

The cabana will open in time for the Knights' season opener Sept. 3 against FIU.

"We greatly appreciate the support of Carl Black of Orlando over the years. Obviously, Omar Rodriguez has been a big part of that support and we thank him for Carl Black's involvement in this project," Interim Director of Athletics and head football coach George O’Leary said in the release.

Along with being an authorized dealer of Chevrolet, Buick and GMC brands, Carl Black has been a partner of UCF Athletics since 2006.
