Ashley Spivey’s goals have sent UCF to the Sweet 16 for the second time in four years and delivered the team’s first win over a top 10 program since 2009. And on Tuesday, they secured her a spot on the American Athletic Conference preseason all-conference team.

One of 11 students chosen for the team, the Maryland transfer earned all-conference second team distinction last year. Scoring four game-winners and the second-consecutive American regular season title, the senior is the UCF women’s soccer team’s second-leading goal and point scorer, with 10 and 26 respectively.

Picked to finish second in the preseason poll, the Knights are currently ranked 17th in the NSCAA preseason poll. They will kick off their 2015 season against Florida Gulf Coast Thursday at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
