Former UCF defensive back Roy Breon Rogers passed away Sept. 26 at the age of 29.
Rogers was born on June 10, 1986 to Roy and Althea Rogers in DeKalb County, Georgia, according to the Thomson Funeral Record.
He attended UCF on a football scholarship from 2005 through 2007, appearing in 25 games on the defensive side of the ball. He made his first career start during his true freshman season in 2005, playing in 10 games.
He totaled seven tackles during his junior campaign in 2007 and saw action in the Conference USA championship winning game.
Rogers graduated from UCF with a bachelor’s in criminal justice in 2009.
