National signing day was Wednesday Feb. 3 and the UCF football team added quite a few players to their 2016 roster. Here is a list of some players from around the country that have signed with the Knights, along with some information about them.

McKenzie Milton is a 5-foot-11, 170 pound quarterback from Kapolei, Hawaii. He is the first football student-athlete from Hawaii to play for UCF. He ranked in the top 70 in the country among dual-threat quarterbacks by ESPN. In his career he amassed 7,303 passing yards, 81 passing touchdowns and a 65.5 completion percentage in 34 games in high school play.

Chris Mulumba is a 6-foot-4, 270 pound defensive lineman from Vantaa, Finland. Ranked as a three-star product in junior college, he was born in Finland after his parents escaped violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He recorded 63 tackles, with nine tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks as a sophomore in 2015.

Christian Beard is a 6-foot-4, 285 pound offensive lineman from Waco, Tx. He was ranked as the No. 12 offensive guard among junior-college players by 247Sports.com. In high school, he earned Associated Press All-State honors and was a unanimous selection to the All-District 8-5A Team.



Brandon Moore is a 6-foot-1, 177 pound defensive back from Sanford, Fla. He was one of the first UCF commits after Scott Frost was announced as head coach. Moore had many other schools interested in him including Akron, Bowling Green, Kent State, Louisville, NC State, South Florida, Syracuse, Tulane and Western Michigan.

Jaquarius Bargnare is a 5-foot-8,198 pound wide receiver from right here in Orlando, Fla. where he attended Dr.Phillips high school. He had 40 receptions for 614 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior, while also rushing 32 times for 185 yards.

Boman Swanson is a 6-foot-4, 274 pound offensive lineman from Homestead, Fla. He has been listed in the top 100 among all high school offensive tackles by ESPN. Other schools that offered Swanson playing time include Charlotte, FAU and Western Kentucky.

Byron Brown is a 6-foot-1, 165 pound defensive back from Miami, Fla. He earned three stars from 247Sports.com as a recruit. He was selected for the 2015 Tournament of Champions/Nike Miami-Dade North vs. South All-Star Game.

Jawon Hamilton is a 5-foot-9, 193 pound running back from Homestead, Fla. He was listed at No. 100 on the Orlando Sentinel 2016 Florida Top 100 list. He was named the 2015 Tournament of Champions South Florida Player of the Year.

Aaron Dowdell is a 6-foot-4, 318 pound offensive lineman from Fairburn, Ga. He earned four stars from Rivals.com as a recruit. He was listed at No. 25 among guards and No. 45 overall in the state by 247Sports.com.

Joe Sanders is a 6-foot-4, 256 pound defensive lineman from LaGrange, Ga. A junior college transfer, he was the No. 7 strong-side defensive end among junior-college players by 247Sports.com. He accounted for 72 tackles total and nine tackles for a loss in the 2015 season.

Nate Evans is a 6-foot-1, 240 pound linebacker from Waggaman, La. He was ranked in the top 50 overall in the state of Louisiana by Rivals.com. He accounted for 102 tackles with six tackles for a loss as a senior in high school.

Richie Grant is a 6-foot, 166 pound defensive back from Fort Walton Beach, Fla. He racked up 37 solo tackles with four interceptions as a senior. He had more than 1,000 receiving yards as a receiver and made an interception in the 2014 FHSAA 6A state semifinal game against Armwood high school.

D.J. Davidson is a 6-foot-5, 315 pound defensive lineman from Mesa, Ariz. He led his high school, Desert Ridge, to the 2015 Arizona Division I state title game. Finishing with 57 tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles in 2014, Davidson is exactly what Frost was talking about when he wanted aggressive players on defense.

 

Jordan Johnson is a 6-foot-3, 280 pound offensive lineman from Jacksonville, Fla. A four-star product by ESPN, he was listed as the No. 24 offensive guard in the country by ESPN on a separate ranking.

 

Adrian Killins is a 5-foot-9, 155 pound running back from Daytona Beach, Fla. He was ranked as the No. 26 best running back in the nation according to Rivals.com. As a junior, he posted 162 rushes for 1,173 rushing yards with 14 touchdowns, while catching 17 passes for 187 yards and three scores.

 

 

Monterious Loggins is a 6-foot, 220 pound linebacker from Crawfordville, Fla. He helped lead Wakulla to the 2015 FHSAA Class 5A title game while making 116 tackles with four sacks as a senior throughout the year.

 

Dontay Mayfield is a 6-foot-1, 195 pound wide receiver from Homestead, Fla. He caught more than 35 receptions for 400 yards along with six touchdowns as a junior. He received offers from several schools including Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Duke, FAU, FIU, Georgia Southern, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, NC State, Rutgers, South Florida, Syracuse, Temple, Tulane, Utah State, Virginia, Western Michigan and Wisconsin.

 

Eric Mitchell is a 6-foot-1, 224 pound linebacker from Miami, Fla. He was ranked as the No. 56 defensive end in the country according to ESPN. He had offers from Colorado, Florida, Florida Atlantic, FIU, Georgia Southern, Louisville, Marshall, Rutgers, South Florida, Syracuse, Temple and Toledo.

 

Josh Odigie is a 6-foot-4, 255 pound defensive lineman from Costa Mesa, Calif. He was listed as the No. 10 strong-side defensive end among junior colleges by 247Sports.com rankings. He had 12 tackles for a loss, including three in back-to-back games as a sophomore.

Dredrick Snelson is a 6-foot, 193 pound wide receiver from Miami Fla. He earned a rank as the No. 21 top recruit in the state of Florida by Rivals.com and No. 222 nationally. Ranked No. 20 among all wide receivers in the country, he was No. 30 among all players in Florida by ESPN.

 

With a new recruiting class, a new athletics director and a new coaching staff, fans are anxious to see what UCF can do on the field. UCF will look to continue football operations with practices and team events starting within the next couple weeks during Spring Football.
