Sophomore guard Adonys Henriquez announced Tuesday night that he intends to transfer from UCF.
Henriquez started every game last season for the Knights and averaged 10.1 points per game.
"I would like to start off by saying thank you UCF for this amazing opportunity," Henriquez said on Twitter and Instagram. "The people I have met here are amazing and I appreciate the love and support I have received here in my two years. After talking it over with my family I think it's best to pursue other opportunities. The future is bright for UCF and I wish them nothing but the best."
The second-leading points scorer in the 2015-16 season, Henriquez is from Orlando and attended Orlando Christian Prep.
Henriquez is the second Knight basketball player to transfer this offseason, joining Matt Williams, who would have been a senior.
At the present time, Knights coach Johnny Dawkins' basketball roster includes nine players, including transfer Aubrey Dawkins. There are now four scholarships on the roster that have not been filled.
Coach Dawkins could look to add some fifth-year transfer students to fill the void of the transferring players.
UCF looks to turn things around after last season it failed to make it past the first round of the American Athletic Conference tournament for the second straight year.
