There was no shortage of boots or sundresses Friday night when Taylor Swift's Fearless Tour stopped into Amway Arena.
The crowd included people of all ages, from teeny-boppers with homemade shirts and posters to hunky guys vying for a chance to propose to the 5-foot-11 country cutie.
The second show of the U.S. leg of Swift's tour kicked off with a four-song set from upcoming country-pop band Gloriana. Following them was Swift's best friend Kellie Pickler, who proved why she was a top contender in the fifth season of "American Idol" with her strong ballads and adorable southern personality.
The stage was then set for Swift, 20, who emerged from a trapdoor adorned in a full marching band uniform to her hit single "You Belong with Me." Halfway through the song, dancers pulled her outfit in two to reveal a sparkling dress.
It would be the first of Swift's several costume changes.
The intricate stage was full of engaging visuals: three winding staircases, six dancers, seven band members and a massive backdrop screen that ornamented the two-tier stage with lights to canvas numerous settings that ranged from a city skyline to a fairytale castle.
What critics say Swift lacks in vocals, she makes up with theatrical performances and her relatable lyrics of love and ex-boyfriends.
She replicated her 2008 ACM "Should've Said No" dance, complete with trashcan banging and chorus breakdown finale in pouring rain on stage.
The performance of "Love Story" put Swift and company in full Victorian ensembles, though midway through the song she changed into a bridal gown.
She later appeared in the crowd to perform "Hey Stephen" and "Tim McGraw" from the sound booth for an acoustic set.
Afterward, she slowly ventured through hordes of screaming fans on her way back to the stage, giving out hugs and kisses to seemingly every person she could.
Once back on stage, she needed only her guitar and a spotlight to prove she is the real deal with a heart-felt acoustic performance of "White Horse."
When Swift wasn't swinging her hips and flipping her mane of curls, she was center stage soaking in the screams of her female faithful.
Her affable personality came through her monologues in which she repeatedly thanked and professed her love for everyone in the room.
Her charismatic presence, country charm, flirtatious smirks and true passion for her music shined through in every way imaginable.
