The Green Wave were sent out with the tide Saturday, as UCF beat Tulane 49-0 during the last home game of the season for the Knights.
UCF had one touchdown in the fourth quarter in the form of a 6-yard connection from backup quarterback Rob Calabrese to Brendan Kelly with 11:33 left in the game. That TD ended a 6-play, 25-yard drive.
It was the third quarter that saw the majority of the action.
Starting quarterback Brett Hodges, who finished the game with 234 yards, threw two touchdown passes to Kamar Aiken and Brynn Harvey and Jonathan Davis both ran in a score to give UCF a 42-0 lead over Tulane entering the final quarter at Bright House Networks Stadium.
The 28-point quarter was the first time the Knights had scored four touchdowns in a quarter since a game against Memphis back in 2007.
UCF forced Tulane into four turnovers in the third quarter, including an interception and two fumbles on three consecutive possessions. The Knights also converted each of those turnovers into points, which included two TD passes from Hodges to Aiken of 29 and 16-yards, respectively.
Entering the fourth quarter, the Knights hold a 434-63 advantage in total yards, including -4 yards on the ground to the Green Wave. UCF also converted on 7-of-11 third downs.
Hodges, who was replaced by Calabrese to start the fourth quarter, finished the game tossing two touchdown passes to go along with 234 yards passing.
Harvey has led the way on the ground, registering 129 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries.
A 2-yard rushing touchdown by Brynn Harvey with 1:31 left, his second rushing touchdown of the game, gave the Knights a 14-0 lead over Tulane heading into the half at Bright House Networks Stadium.
Harvey rushed for 116 yards on four carries, including two touchdown runs of 50 and 2-yards, respectively, to give his team the two touchdown lead. The Knights out-gained Tulane 263-43 in total yards in the half, including holding the Green Wave to just one yard rushing through the first two quarters.
The Knights got on the board on their first possession of the game, as Harvey's TD run capped off a 4-play, 70-yard drive. With his two touchdowns in the first half, Harvey now has 12 touchdowns on the ground this season.
Tulane was able to halt the Knights twice in the red zone, stopping them on 4th-and-1 with 10:28 left in the opening quarter and also intercepting a Brett Hodges pass at the 8:54 mark in the second quarter. Hodges finished the first half completing 13-of-21 passes for 141 yards, including five of those completions to A.J. Guyton.
On the ensuing possession, the Knights were able to pick off Tulane QB Ryan Griffin in the end zone, with Reggie Weams coming up with his first career interception.
