A UCF student has accused her boyfriend of holding her hostage and beating her for more than 14 hours, according to Grant Heston of UCF News & Information.

The man was identified as Curtis Darrisaw, 22, of Ft. Lauderdale. Darrisaw is not a UCF student.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim said Darrisaw went to her apartment in Pegasus Landing on Thursday night. The affidavit states that the woman said they had an argument and the man trapped her, beat her and broke her cell phone when she tried to call 911.

The two drove to a gas station early Friday morning where the victim saw a deputy and asked for help.

Darrisaw was arrested and taken to Orange County Jail where he is being held without bail. He faces charges of battery involving dating violence, false imprisonment, burglary with assault or battery, criminal mischief and resisting arrest without violence.

According to the affidavit, the victim is hesitant to proceed with prosecution.
