Downtown Food and Wine Festival begins Saturday
This weekend, Lake Eola will serve as home to the Downtown Food and Wine Fest.
The event extends over the course of two days, Saturday and Sunday, bringing out dishes from 30 different Orlando restaurants, 50 different domestic and international wines and live entertainment. Located along Robinson Street, the fest is presented by Aquafina and produced by CBS Radio and the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association.
The fest will run from noon until 9 p.m. on Saturday and from noon until 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Sweet By Holly, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, Jeremiah's Italian Ice, Shari Sushi, Cooper's Hawk and Tijuana Flats are just a few of the vendors in the lineup from which patrons can fill their hungry tummies.
Food tickets can be purchased at the event for $2 each, with food and wine samplings ranging from one to four tickets.
The 101.9 AMP radio mixers and special guest DJs will keep the music going at The Liquid Lounge, the party experience of the fest. Located on Broadway Street, the lounge is a feature designed for guests to relax, dance and enjoy the music from premier Orlando DJs. Patrons can also join the Wine Taster's Club Lanyard.
With the purchase of a $15 pass, club members can indulge in five 2-ounce pours of their choice throughout the fest and a souvenir lanyard. The club debuted at the 2014 Downtown Food and Wine Fest, where passes eventually sold out.
Organizers remind patrons that the fest is a rain-or-shine event and that tickets are non-refundable.
