It's that time of year again when sparks ignite the clear summer sky and fiery grills roasting succulent barbecue — the Fourth of July.

Every year, Orlando offers various Independence Day activities, and the Central Florida Future has compiled a list of this year's local Fourth of July events:

Red, Hot and Boom

Red, Hot and Boom is one of the most popular Independence Day celebrations of Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs, according to its website.

The annual event features food and drinks from different vendors, and music performances from popular artists, including Andy Grammar, Shaggy and Ryn Weaver for this year's lineup.

The event is free to the public and will take place on July 3 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the fireworks show set to begin at 9 p.m.

Fireworks at the Fountain

This Lake Eola Park event will provide sporting activities, all-you-can-eat barbecue, music and fireworks.

Starting at 4 p.m., families can take part in basketball and tennis activities provided by the city of Orlando Family, Parks and Recreation division.

Two stages will be set up for country and rock music performances. Country music artist Jimmy Stanley will perform on the K92.3 stage at 6:30 p.m., while Mellow Relics and the Orlando Concert Band will take the amphitheater stage at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively.

With more than 25 food and beverage vendors, the July 4 event is free and open to the public.

Red, White & Brew

Kicking off Independence Day celebrations early, Red, White & Brew will take place on Wall Street Plaza in Downtown Orlando starting July 3.

During the first night, party goers will be able to enjoy food, Sam Adams drink specials, outdoor games and a live-music performance from Who Rescued Who.

On the second day of the block party, the event's activities will feature a beer garden and karaoke competition before the fireworks show. The winner of the karaoke competition can expect to win a cash prize.

The night will culminate with a live performance from The Lighter Exchange.

There will be no cover charge for the event on either day.

Olde Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration

Horse-drawn carriages, live music and a clog show by the Orlando Cloggers will transport people back to the revolutionary zeal of celebrating America's independence at no cost.

The city of Winter Park will host this family event in Central Park, located on Park Avenue, offering free food, drinks and games.

Other events and activities include the Watermelon 5K on Park Avenue and free admission to the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art.

Boutiques and restaurants on Park Avenue will remain open during the day as well.

Although the city of Winter Park will not host a fireworks display, guests are encouraged to attend fireworks shows at nearby locations such as Lake Eola Park and Lake Baldwin.

Oviedo Independence Day Celebration

Just a few miles from UCF, the city of Oviedo will be hosting a Fourth of July celebration at the Oviedo Mall.

The day's festivities will include live music from Jim Van Fleet and Jake & The Elwood Blues Revue.

Entertainment activities for people of all ages will also be available and include inflatable play areas, carnival games, food and craft vendors. Admission will be free to the public.

Winter Springs Celebration of Freedom 15

Winter Springs will commence its celebration at Central Winds Park at 5 p.m. with live music, a talent show, bounce house and other activities.

At 9 p.m., the National Anthem and Presentation of Colors will take place, with a music-choreographed fireworks display following the show.

According to the event flier, shuttle buses will be available until 6 p.m. at Trotwood Park and Winter Springs Elementary School due to limited parking at Central Winds Park.

The event is free to the public, but food and drinks will be available for purchase at concession stands.

Fourth of July Celebration of Avalon Park

Avalon Park's community will host a night of family-oriented and patriotic events at Town Park on July 4, along with its annual Avalon Park Firecracker 5K at 8 a.m.

Those interested in running can register online through July 3 or the day of at 7 a.m.

Locals will be able to participate in an apple pie bake-off, a hot dog-eating contest, a bike parade and a wet and dry inflatable bounce park, according to the Avalon Park website. The event kicks off at 5 p.m.
