The UCF Student Philanthropy Council is looking for new members who have a passion for giving back.

Ambassadors will spread awareness about the impact donations have on students' education and help build a network with other students, alumni, donors and faculty, according to a press release from SPC.

The council was launched fall 2013 as an effort to promote and inspire philanthropy on campus by educating students about the importance of giving back.

Last spring, SPC started Project '63, a campaign that spreads awareness about private support and philanthropy.

As part of the campaign, SPC tabled on the Student Union patio during Philanthropy Week. The table featured a banner thanking donors' generosity, and students who signed it received a promotional item in return, such as a "Project '63" T-shirt.

Students interested in becoming an SPC ambassador can apply online at Applications are due Sept. 30.
