Break out your nickels and dimes, gas prices are less than $2 in the UCF area.

Gas is $1.99 at the Hess gas station on the corner of Rouse Road and University Boulevard, as well as at both the Murphy's USA and 7-Eleven located on Alafaya Trail and McCulloch Road.

Gas prices in Orlando, on average, have gone down about 9 cents per gallon in the last week, according to a release from GasBuddy, and the national average has dipped 5.4 cents to $2.12 per gallon.

"Overnight, the average price for diesel fuel in the U.S. dropped under $3 per gallon for the first time since Oct. 2, 2010, and will shed yet another 25 to 50 cents per gallon before reaching a bottom," said Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst with GasBuddy, in the release.
