UCF College of Business' Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has earned the opportunity to compete in a regional competition.

The East-Division Regional Case Competition, to be held March 20 to 21, will allow the group to compete with 13 other undergraduate teams.

The group was recognized at the recent state-level SHRM Case Competition, in which the team's presentation received recognition by professional judges. At the competition, students cooperated with each other to devise a solution to a hypothetical company's problems.

"Through our organization I have learned that collaboration, innovation, proactivity and vision are all critically important for success. Our teamwork and creative thinking abilities have given us the opportunity to compete at the next level, and I couldn't be more thrilled," said Cori Sims, president of the UCF Business chapter of SHRM, in a press release.

SHRM offers networking and resources for UCF students studying human resource management.
