Man found dead after motorized bicycle accident near UCF
A man lost control of a bicycle with a homemade motor attached just south of the UCF Main Campus early Tuesday morning.
Gabriel Rodriguez, 25, was traveling on Adela Avenue — a street just west of the Village at Science Drive student housing complex — when he hit a dip in the roadway, lost control of his bicycle and was thrown over the handlebars, according to a release from Florida Highway Patrol.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The release states that Rodriguez was not wearing a helmet and alcohol was not involved.
