Reginald Lane Jr.'s arraignment hearing Thursday at the Orange County Clerk of Courts in Downtown Orlando concluded without charges being filed yet.

Lane, 20, was arrested July 20 for resisting arrest without violence as his friend, Deidra Reid, 21, was arrested after an altercation with off-duty officer Brett Parnell at The Retreat on East Colonial Drive.

Judge Tanya Wilson presided over Lane’s arraignment. Wilson ordered Lane to return for another hearing on Sept. 4.

Following the arraignment, Lane commented on the state’s lack of charges.

“They know they’re wrong,” Lane said. “They’re probably going to drop the case, but I just don’t want that to happen. I want justice."
