UCF’s rankings have now gone international.

The Academic Ranking of World Universities has listed UCF in the 301-400 range out of 500 of the best universities in the world.

The ARWU considers any university that has “any Nobel Laureates, Fields Medalists, Highly Cited Researchers or papers published in Nature or Science,” according to its website. Out of 1,200 universities that fit the bill, the top 500 are listed in the rankings.

ARWU ranks the schools according to quality of education, quality of faculty, research output and per capita performance.

There were 146 American universities in the rankings, with University of Florida at No. 83, University of South Florida and Florida State University in the 201-300 range and Florida International University in the 401-500 range.
