More than 1,000 students are expected to participate in the Knights Give Back volunteer event on Saturday.

Knights Give Back, UCF’s largest volunteering event, is expected to raise more than $115,000. Participants will have the choice to volunteer for 30 different partnering organizations from around Central Florida, and will benefit a total of 12 different causes such as hunger, homelessness, education and animal care, according to a press release.

“We’ve got volunteer teams of UCF faculty members, classes, clubs, sports teams, Greek life, as well as individual students and groups of friends that just all come together to go out and make a difference in the Orlando community as Knights,” Volunteer UCF Student Director, Annabelle Gonzales, said in a press release. “It’s great to see that sort of drive for positive impact amongst the Knight community."

A pre-volunteering celebration event will take place at the CFE Arena, and will include a free breakfast, photo booth, Knightro appearance, a D.J. and a Knight-Thon dance performance. Bus transportation will be available to transport students to and from volunteer sites, and T-shirts will also be given to volunteers, according to the release.
