UCF Police is investigating a sexual battery that took place early Monday morning at Knights Circle, according to an email from UCF.

The email stated that the victim is a minor with no UCF affiliation, and the situation is being treated as statutory rape.

The victim described the suspect as a 20- to 25-year-old black male, approximately 6 feet tall, who was wearing a gray or white sweatshirt, black sweatpants and a hat.

UCF PD said the victim and her friend met the suspect around 11 p.m. Sunday near Alafaya Trail and McCulloch Road. They then followed him to another location and jumped a wall to enter Knights Circle. The alleged rape took place early Monday morning in a parking lot.

UCF Police said that it is increasing patrol around the area, and the crime is under investigation.

“We ask you to remain vigilant and to alert us to activity that seems sketchy,” the email states.
