5,000 Knights graduate from UCF this weekend
Thousands of Knights will walk across the stage at the CFE Arena this weekend, earning their various degrees during the three ceremonies taking place Friday and Saturday.
In total, UCF will award an estimated 5,168 degrees during the three ceremonies, according to a UCF release. That includes 4,405 bachelor’s degrees, 657 master’s degrees, four education specialist degrees, 12 educational doctoral degrees, 81 Ph.D.s and nine Doctor of Nursing degrees.
The Friday morning ceremony was the largest of the three commencements, with roughly 1,350 graduates from the College of Education and Human Performance, College of Health & Public Affairs and the Rosen College of Hospitality Management.
Friday's afternoon ceremony will see students from the College of Arts & Humanities, College of Graduate Studies, College of Nursing, College of Sciences and College of Undergraduate Studies turn the tassel. Students from the College of Business Administration, College of Engineering & Computer Science, College of Medicine and College of Optics & Photonics will walk at Saturday's morning ceremony.
Mark Brewer, president and CEO of the Central Florida Foundation, spoke at Friday morning's graduation. Publisher and CEO of the Orlando Sentinel Nancy Meyer, and Director of UCF's Devos Sport Business Management Program will speak at the Friday afternoon and Saturday morning ceremonies, respectively.
