OCSO responds to armed home invasion near UCF
The Orange County Sheriffs Office is looking for two suspects that forced their way into the home of three UCF students on Feb. 16 at approximately 9:16 p.m.
The suspects, a black male and a black female, knocked on the victims' door before forcing their way in and punching one of the residents. OCSO Captain Angelo Nieves said the female suspect was armed with a weapon.
The suspects demanded to know where money and narcotics were located and left after stealing a laptop, cell phones, and the victims' wallets, according to OCSO.
Dispatch officers and patrol vehicles were seen with canine units and police helicopters last night at Crestwood Suites, an extended-stay hotel at 11424 University Blvd., sometime after the home invasion call was placed.
The suspects were presumed to be staying in the hotel, according to an OSCO officer on the scene.
UCFPD was notified and the investigation is currently ongoing. There were no major injuries.
