UCF PD to present tribute to Pulse victims
The UCF police department will present a tribute to the victims of the Pulse shooting in front of the Student Union on Friday.
According to a UCF PD press release, the unveiling will happen at 10 a.m.
It has been nearly a month since the Pulse nightclub shooting, in which a man walked into a popular gay nightclub in Orlando with a Sig Sauer MCX .223-caliber rifle and began shooting, killing 49 victims and wounding 53. UCF student Juan Ramon Guerrero and UCF alumnus Christopher “Drew” Leinonen were among the victims of the massacre, which was reportedly the deadliest mass shooting in American history and the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. soil since September 11, 2001.
