Against: Abortion needs more exposure than Cecil
A fifth anti-Planned Parenthood video was released Tuesday morning. But you wouldn’t know that because the topic still on the forefront of Americans’ minds is the loss of Cecil the lion, rather than the brutality of the murder and trafficking of millions of unborn babies.
Our country is currently facing numerous contentious issues and it is imperative that we, as American citizens, and our leadership realize that the acts of this organization are not only incommunicably repugnant, but also utterly unethical to anyone claiming to have a conscience, much less morals of any degree.
It is appalling that despite the unfortunate death of a lion, the left, and even worse, several members of the right might as well ignore the outrageous acts of Planned Parenthood, even if some consider the acts legal.
Enough is enough. The reality of the atrocity of corpse-selling needs the exposure.
These babies are being viciously torn apart in their mothers womb, deprived of life and being peddled for money. Meanwhile ABC’s news channel, among other left-leaning news outlets, has allotted 15 times more air time to the story of a dentist poaching an animal, rather than the issue of manslaughter we are currently witnessing all across our country.
This pales in comparison to the daily and even hourly massacre of tiny human bodies developing inside of their mothers.
Russell Moore, president of The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of The Southern Baptist Convention and an outspoken pro-life activist, has continued to express his views against the barbarism of the actions of Planned Parenthood.
“This is not only murderous; it is murderous in the most ghoulish way imaginable,” he wrote on his blog, Moore to the Point.
For Democrats, the issue of Cecil the lion seems to be of the utmost importance because, according to USA Today, “defending abortion rights and access to contraception are key issues for their base.” Therefore, they have no inclination to combat Planned Parenthood, because, frankly, they stand by and even encourage the actions that are taking place within this corporation.
For Republicans, however, and faith-centered organizations, there currently exists no greater issue than taking on Planned Parenthood. While Planned Parenthood does in fact provide other useful services to women such as birth control, annual checkups and cancer screenings, no taxpayer money should be allotted to an organization that ultimately profits from the selling of fetal tissue.
Emily Schillinger, spokeswoman for House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, spoke on the issue saying, “The more Americans learn about Planned Parenthood’s horrific practices, the easier it will be for Congress to defund them.”
The life a lion, truthfully, is deeply insignificant when Americans weigh in the overarching effects of the actions of Planned Parenthood.
