As a team that returns much of its 2014 squad that finished 36-23, the Knights are looked at as one of the favorites to win the American Athletic Conference in 2015.

The American announced on Monday its preseason baseball honors, which pegged UCF to finish second in the conference, and placed three players on the All-Conference team. Seniors Zach Rodgers, Dylan Moore and sophomore Matt Diorio all found spots on the team.

Moore, who plays second base, hit .315 and drove in 35 runs in 2014. Rodgers, a pitcher, finished with a 7-1 record and had just a 1.36 ERA.

Diorio, the team's designated hitter, hit .288 with 17 RBIs.

The UCF baseball season is set to open Feb. 13 when it hosts Siena.
