Former defensive end for the UCF Knights Toby Jackson was added to the Orlando Predators roster on Wednesday. The Predators play in the Arena Football League at the Amway Center.

Jackson appeared in nine games for the Knights in 2011 — his lone season in black and gold — after transferring from Navarro College. He recorded 14 tackles, 11 solo and three for a loss, before sitting out the entire 2012 season due to academic issues.

During his single season at Navarro, Jackson helped his team win the National Junior College Athletic Association National Championship, earning the Junior College National Championship MVP in the process.

Jackson was undrafted in the 2013 Supplemental Draft, but found his way to the Dallas Cowboys preseason roster. He played two preseason games for the Cowboys, but recorded no stats.

Although he has not had much professional experience, Jackson recorded one solo tackle and assisted on another in the Predators' 63-42 win over the Cleveland Gladiators on Friday.

The Predators are 6-4, good for first place in the Southern Division. The team will travel to take on the Jacksonville Sharks at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
