UPDATE: Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed late Saturday that UCF football player Chris Williams was shot at King Tut’s Lounge on Alafaya Trail early Saturday morning.

OCSO deputies responded to the case regarding a physical fight in progress with shots fired, according to a release. Upon arrival, as a large crowd started to leave the area, deputies were advised that the shooting victim, Williams, had arrived at Florida Hospital East.

The victim advised he was shot at King Tut’s Lounge during an altercation. His injuries are non-life threatening and at last check he was listed in stable condition, the release states.

George O'Leary has been made aware and spoke with Williams and his mother over the phone, said UCF Athletics spokesman Andy Seeley.

Brandon Helwig reported that Williams had updated his friends on Facebook saying, "I'm okay everybody I got shot in arm twice but I good." He has also remained active on his Twitter, retweeting tweets that wish him well.
