And the free beer continues.
With the Knights 0-6 in the season after Saturday's home game against UConn, The Basement Orlando is continuing its promotion, in which it will hand out free beer each game until UCF can score its first win.
The promotion began during Oct. 3's away game against the Tulane Green Wave. The downtown bar's general manager, Logan Berkowitz, said more than 2,000 12-ounce cups of beer were handed out.
"We were really busy by the end of the first quarter. ... We went through 11 and a half kegs," the UCF alumnus said.
While fans may be questioning if UCF will pull out a win this season, The Basement is keeping its promise with its free-beer special.
"We're not going to pull that promotion at all," Berkowitz said. "We're prepared."
The Basement is located on 68 E. Pine St., Orlando.
