The American Athletic Conference honors four women’s soccer players per week. Monday, UCF secured three of those spots after two 3-1 victories over Memphis and Tulsa.

Junior Carol Rodrigues was named the Offensive Player of the Week after back-to-back two-goal games, in which she netted the game winner in both matches. Sunday’s bicycle kick game winner made Sports Center’s Top 10 Plays.

The Juazeiro, Brazil, native leads the Knights in goals (nine) and points (20) through 14 games.

Sophomore Bridget Callahan earned Defensive Player of the Week. Her feed to Rodrigues for the bicycle kick resulted in her lone assist this season.

Freshman Vera Varis rounded out the Knights’ honors as she earned Goalkeeper of the Week. She held both opponents to one goal apiece.

Varis has backstopped the Knights in 12 games, compiling two shutouts and 48 saves while allowing 19 goals.

UCF's next game will be on the road against SMU Thursday at 8 p.m.
