After their thrilling overtime victory over Bethune-Cookman at home last week, the Knights (6-4) come into tonight’s game with the daunting task of defeating the No. 20 ranked George Washington Colonials (10-2) at home in the CFE Arena at 7 p.m.

UCF overcame an 18-point deficit at home against Bethune-Cookman, ultimately building a 17-point advantage for themselves overall. However the Wildcats made it interesting with a late rally that would force overtime.

The Knights eventually won the game in extra time led by strong play from seniors Daiquan Walker and Shaheed Davis, who combined for 41 points, eight rebounds, and ten assists.

This will be the first matchup between the Knights and the Colonials on Tuesday night. UCF is (1-1) so far against Atlantic 10 teams so far, losing their first game against Davidson and then defeating Massachusetts on Dec. 8.

The Knights are currently (5-1) in the month of December with five straight home victories. UCF’s last home loss came Nov. 18 versus UC-Irvine.

Senior Daiquan Walker is having his best year so far, averaging nine points, four rebounds, and four assists while shooting 46 percent from deep beyond the arc. In December, Walker is contributing 14 points, four assists, and three rebounds, shooting an impressive 69 percent from three-point range.
